Dreaming Wide Awake

I cannot believe time has gone by so fast! We are leaving for Cambodia tomorrow!!! Wow, I'm so excited :) This week has surprisingly been very peaceful. It was our last week of school so I didn't teach many classes and I've been spending some good quality time with my mom. We've been shopping and eating lots of Korean food. We even saw the new Batman today! It's been sooooo great to have her here! Here are a few pics :)

The last few weeks of teaching have been a little more difficult than before. I think it's partly that my patience level has gone down and getting used to my new co-teacher hasn't been easy. I'm thankful it's time for summer vacation and excited to start teaching camp. My summer camp is only 12 days this summer and I got to chose when and what time I wanted to teach. Such a blessing! So I'll be teaching a week of sports and week of movies, life is good! A couple weeks ago I had a teacher training. My co-teacher and I didn't tell our students about it. So when they came to class and I wasn't there, of course they asked why. My co-teacher told them I left for America because they were so disrespectful. And apparently she was serious about it, because I came back to school with a bunch of apology letters from my students. Here's my favorite one.

Unfortunately, they weren't that much better for me when I came back. My co-teacher and I enjoyed a laugh though :) For our mission trip, we have been preparing to teach a worship hip hop dance for the girls in Cambodia. We've been practicing for over a month now and last weekend we were able to bless the church with our dance. It was choreographed by a woman who is here in Korea with her family planting a church. She's super sweet and very talented! Here's our dance!!

This is just the start of my worship dance career. I've been asked to help re-start a worship dance team at our church :) So excited!! Not sure what God will do through us yet, but I'm ready to learn! For this mission trip to Cambodia, we're going to Siem Reap through the same organization we went to serve last winter, Agape International Missions. I'm really looking forward to working with them again and being able to serve in such an incredible way. I'm co-leading a group of 11 and our main purpose is to love, bless and teach the staff and children/young women at their facility. We will be teaching vocal, guitar and piano lessons as well as our hip hop dance, some new sports and macramé. I can't wait to see what God has in store for us. I know He is going to do something wonderful through us and for us! If you could pray for us this week, we would be truly grateful! I have experienced the power of prayer and I know from Jesus' example that it all starts with prayer. Here is our prayer card. Along with this, please pray for wisdom and discernment for myself and my co-leader Esther. This is a new experience for us to lead and we are praying to be sensitive to the Holy Spirit and lead the way God wants us to. Thank for your love and support! Your prayers are coveted!

Love and Blessings,
~Krista~
