In preparation for my mom coming to visit tomorrow, (!!!) I've been meaning to get a key made and set up a pre-paid phone for her to use. Of course I waited until the last minute and had to get them both done today. Even so, I did my research and headed out after school. I stumbled upon a phone store. I managed to get what I needed across to the store worker, but was told I needed to go to a different place because they can't do it there. A little discouraged, I headed back the way I came and took the subway a couple stops. Sure enough, there was the store, right where he told me. Thankfully there were plenty of workers there sitting around doing nothing, to help me. But of course, none of them spoke English. That's why I'm learning Korean I guess. Again I explained what I needed and I was in the right place, yay! The paperwork went smoothly until the end when I had a few questions...she opened google translate and asked me to type it in haha. I kind of knew the answer from their website already, I just wanted to confirm. Oh well, if I need to know something I'll have a Korean call. I signed the contract and headed out to find a place that copies keys. Nothing. I didn't see anywhere that could make them. So I settled to just go home and try again tomorrow. As I got off the bus by my school, I saw the sign "keys" in Korean of course on a store front across the street. I fresh rush of energy came over me as I skipped to the store. Thankfully asking to copy a key is fairly easy and he let me watch him punch the holes in. It only took 5 minutes and $4 dollars later and I had completed my missions for the day. I was a little nervous before I left school and even after I stopped at the first phone store. But then I remembered what my friend said right before I left school haha. He said, as he was praying for me yesterday, God said not to worry because He's right there next to you. Thanks for the reminder Heechan!
While I'm exhausted from running errands, I'm thankful God helped me accomplish the things I needed to today. Now I just have to finish cleaning my apt...ugh. Better get started :)
Love you!!
