My first official day of teaching starts tomorrow! I'm a little nervous, but mostly excited. This semester I'll be teaching two classes of 5th grade and five classes of 6th grade. My school is called Dongnimmun Elementary School and I live 2 bus stops away from it which is pretty nice. My apartment is small, perfect for just me. I'm still in the moving stage so I'll post pictures when I'm done. Orientation went well, I met a lot of people and learned too many things to remember. It's nice to have somewhat of a friend base, makes me feel less alone. Also I have so much support from my family here, which has helped a lot. I'm lucky :) They're taking very good care of me. I'm looking forward to spending more time with them and learning more Korean to be able to communicate better. I went to church with them this morning...I could sing the songs because they were slow, but I have no idea what I was saying. The only thing I understood was Amen. I'll get there. Oh today I learned today that I have cable in my apartment that includes like 3 or 4 channels of American TV shows and movies in English, sweet! Well I better get some sleep, gotta be alert for my kids tomorrow. I've been told 5th and 6th graders are roudy...should be fun!
