Going to the doctor

Last week I started to develop a cold. Now normally I would wait a whole before doing to doctor, but in Korea you're supposed to go the second your cold starts. So I gave in and went to a doctor I'd seen last month. This is why I Korean healthcare is great. I waited about 30 minutes to be seen with the doctor, but when have you waited less in the states? I spent about 3 minutes talking to the doctor. He spoke a little English so my symptoms came across fine. However, no temperature or blood pressure was taken...strange to me. He asked me about allergies and gave me a 3 day prescription of cold meds. That was it, and it cost me less than $4! Craziness. Then I went downstairs to the pharmacy and got my 3 days worth at about $2. Today is day 2 of my medication and I already feel better. I mean I it doesn't go away then I have I go back, but my cold can start and end in 1 week and I only have to spend $6, that'd be awesome!!

Here's another story for ya. So my the light in my bathroom went out last week. There's a store by my school that sells light bulbs and other household stuff so I went there. I took a picture of the bulb so I could explain what I needed. Sure enough he had the correct one. I said I only needed one and he said 800won which is just under a dollar. So I gave him the change and he just hands me a light bulb. No box, no wrapping just the bulb. Haha tht would never happen in the states.

Thought I'd share that with you. I also wanted to say if you haven't heard yet that I'm officially going on a mission trip in January to Cambodia and Thailand. I'm very excited for what God has planned for me and our missions team. I'll try to provide updates when I can :)

Oh and I successfully completed my Korean level one class! I did very well, now I'm just trying to decide if I should cram over the next month to take a test to skip a level. We'll see what happens. Alright off to lunch with my family :)

Can't wait to come home and visit everyone in Feb!!
